Tallboy Backpack - Black Herringbone
This large waxed canvas backpack is crafted from black waxed cotton canvas and heavy duty water repellent cotton canvas (also in black) and features a black & white herringbone wool that is recycled from a vintage suit jacket. Excellent for rainy excursions and any adventure!
This backpack features two billowed pockets along the front which close with a set of hand hammered snaps in gunmetal grey. The main flap fastens easily and very securely with oiled leather straps which can adjust for any size load. The back and seat of the pack are lightly padded & quilted, and interior includes a large, zippered compartment on the inside (along the front.) The padded straps, matching waxed canvas, heavy duty black cotton webbing and high-density 1/4" foam, are reinforced and adjustable, and will adjust to fit almost any body. An additional layer of waxed canvas on the bag's base lends extra durability.
Waxed canvas wears beautifully, it's extremely water resistant, and it's virtually indestructible. It never needs washing aside from a occasional swipe with a damp cloth. The wax can be re-conditioned periodically (I recommend yearly) to maintain its luster and water-resistance. The water-resistant canvas can also be conditioned after time, but it is already outfitted for rain, and repels water.
The flap of this backpack is just begging to be adorned with your favorite Kimberlin Co Explorer Patches. Put your Pacific Northwest pride on display!
